BuyMe: three directions

buyme.grn.dk has been Greg Nowak's own for-sale board since 2012, on a Drupal 7 site that went end of life in 2025. In October 2026 it got three design directions, each built as a working page with the same real listings and photos. Greg picked B, the newspaper. All three stay here the way they were shown.

Direction A: a handwritten notice titled Things I'm selling, with tear-off contact tabs and photo prints with paper price tagsA · Price tags

The garage-sale table

A handwritten notice on a board with tear-off contact tabs. Photos as prints, swinging paper price tags, a red SOLD stamp.

Direction B: a newspaper front page with the blackletter masthead BuyMe Tidende and the headline Et helt logistikforum søger ny ejerB · AvisenPicked

BuyMe Tidende

A Danish classifieds page. Blackletter masthead, halftone photos, small boxed ads. A red pen circles what's for sale and crosses out what's gone.

Direction C: a calm gallery page with the headline Everything here had a life before youC · Object labels

Things with a past

Calm gallery walls. Every object gets a museum label with its number, history and status. Photos develop as you scroll.
buyme.grn.dk in October 2026: Drupal 7 theme with a green header, a sidebar of login and tag blocks, and a grey listing table

Where it started

Drupal 7.103 (end of life since January 2025), the green 2012 theme, one listing table. Five public listings, one still for sale.

Lighthouse mobile: performance 76, accessibility 74, SEO 83.
